A great benefit of DocBoss is how manual tasks normally associated with the document control function can become automated. One related benefit is how you can save templates that are frequently used rather than creating them scratch each time.
Before starting, note that templates:
- Must be in excel format
- Any cells where the output data is to be defined by DocBoss, must have applicable variable entered
- You must set your print area (remember to include the last column)
For more information about how to create template, click here to read the complete article.
Let’s start!
In order to upload templates in DocBoss: Navigate to Settings > Template Mgmt > Output Templates
- Click + button

- Fill in the Template Name
- Fill in the Description
- Select the Template File Format (Excel, CSV or Latex)
- Browse and select the template with the variables
- Click Save
Now the templates are ready for use!
