We came across an interesting video on YouTube called What it’s like to be a Document Controller that involves a short interview with a document controller who works in the UK. A few interesting points are mentioned by the interviewee:
She refers to the need for organized document control work to handle the “hundreds or sometimes thousands of employees” producing “high production and massive documents.” She went on mention that they therefore sometimes need someone – or even software – to manage the documentation workload.
The interviewee refers to “accuracy, critical thinking and communication” as three important skills that document controllers should have to be successful.
