Single Sign-On (SSO)
SSO is a method of user authentication via an external identity provider. It allows users to log in to multiple services using a single set of credentials (username and password).
As a DocBoss user, if SSO is enabled in your system, you will be redirected to your company’s sign in page when logging in to DocBoss, instead of having to remember your own password and username for DocBoss.
User Provisioning
User provisioning is a method of managing user identities for multiple services using a centralized identity provider. Adding user provisioning can make it easier for your IT to manage you and your colleagues’ access to different services. If your company already makes use of this for other services, they may want to implement it for DocBoss as well.
The main impact here is for DocBoss admin users. If user provisioning is enabled in your system, then instead of managing your user list inside DocBoss, your IT would add information to the users in your central identity provider to provision certain users with specific access to DocBoss.
