Last summer at the Write the Docs conference, a number of large companies such as Microsoft and Twitter were represented during a panel discussion on transforming documentation that was moderated by a staffer from Google. An interesting common thread arose with regards to how companies are improving and modernizing their documentation processes, namely adopting a “docs as code” approach.
Click here to view a summary of the conference as well as links to both the panel discussion and a number of slides which confirm that the documentation problems that companies such as these face are the same faced by those who take part in document control ie. poor documentation, accuracy of documentation, wrong documentation version, etc.
