We came across an interesting video on YouTube called What it’s like to be a Document Controller that involves a short interview with a document controller who works in the UK. A few interesting points are mentioned by the interviewee:

She refers to the need for organized document control work to handle the “hundreds or sometimes thousands of employees” producing “high production and massive documents.”¬†She went on mention that they therefore sometimes need someone – or even software – to manage the documentation workload.

The interviewee refers to “accuracy, critical thinking and communication” as three important skills that document controllers should have to be successful.
