Back in the days of hard copies and CDs, sizes of data books weren’t much of a delivery hold up point. But more and more companies are moving away from hard copies and CDs and are beginning to accept only electronic copies of data books.
In most cases, this is a good thing. However, when you must deliver multiple GB sized books, with 30,000+ pages, we are seeing how cumbersome this task can be. The file sizes are so large our clients can barely load the file.
Yet, end users specify one single PDF is required… So, we are wondering, how is this of value to the end user?
Have you encountered this situation?
If so, did your customer provide alternate options on submitting massive files so they’re more user friendly?
